it's been a while ...

since I posted a new shoe purchase. So I thought I'd share! Just picked these babies up from Old Navy while out and about on my lunch break Friday afternoon.

Discounted from $25 to $15 (or actually to $14.92. Ok, I really do not understand the "Party like it's 1492" sale. Why that number? WHY?! My coworker Dana pointed out that wouldn't it make more sense to party like it's $14.99??? Ya know, sorta like the song? Weird.)

Anyways, I had been eyeing these shoes for a while and now they were just the right price. I surprised myself by picking the black ones because I usually would have gone for the BRIGHT yellow (Pepperoncini), purple (Monaco Plum) hot pink (Cyclamen) or turquoise (Blue-Gray).

But the black ones just seemed so classic and chic. They sorta make me want to dress solely in black, white and gray.

Hmmm... I doubt that's ever going to happen.  While I can appreciate girls who can work the B&W only wardrobe, it's just not me. It's fun to mix it up ... sometimes a crazy scarf, sometimes doing the B&W thang with some simple black ballet flats.

Do you have a signature style you stick to?  How would you describe your look?

Very classic shoes, lady. I am guilty of a somewhat lackluster wardrobe. I find myself rocking the black and white a lot. I have three dresses that get heavy rotation in my summer work wardrobe... all black and white. But hey! The red shoes look great with them. Woot.
