mirror, mirror

After giving you guys a peak in the video blog of the project John and I worked on last weekend, I wanna show off the finished product.

So, here's the before:

A window from a home dating back to the 1940s. My bestie Britt and I found it at an antique shop in Old Town Clovis. Lucky for me, the glass was conveniently already replaced with mirror. Original price $55. Discounted to $44. Yeah! (Unbeknownst to me, my BFF Jimaie also had her eye on this mirror. We must be psychic! Ha.)

And here's the after:

Johnny and I had such a good time painting up a storm together and I can't wait to find the perfect place in our little home to hang it up! Yay for crafty-ness!

The inspiration for the paint job was this mirror we saw at this cute boutique on our anniversary trip to Cambria. John and I were totally ready to bring it home with us -- except for its $600 price tag. Well, I say, good thing we're not Mr. & Mrs. Moneybags because DIY is way more fun!

I couldn't agree more with your last sentence. (Whenever go to art shows - I'm left wanting to recreate things instead of buy them from someone else!)

It looks adorable! Gooooo Sarah and John!! :)

The finished product is so cool. I love that you left the center the same to keep it kinda antique-y. You two are such a good pair, you work very well together. Awesome job!
